The only one survivor pulled out 67 hours after Shenzhen landslide
Rescuers pulled a man from debris, three days after a landslide buried buildings in mud and construction waste in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.
Tian Zeming, 21, was found after almost 72 hours living on seeds and fruit that had been buried with him when a tide of earth and rubble from a huge waste dump crushed more than 30 buildings. He is the one survival rescued from Shenzhen's landslide.
Rescue team located Mr’s Tian by using our Rescue Radar. Rescue Radar is a GPR system that allows rescuers to locate victims trapped under collapsed debris.
SHENZHEN LANDSLIDE: On 20 December 2015 at 11:40 am a pile of construction waste, stored on a hillside, slid down in an avalanche of mud and debris, destroying 33 buildings and covering an area greater than ten hectares (25 acres) in the Hengtaiyu Industrial Park (恒泰裕工业园), which is, administratively, under Guangming New District of Shenzhen.
The landslide reportedly ruptured a nearby 400-metre (1,300 ft) section of the West–East Gas Pipeline and triggered an explosion which was heard about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) away.
According to the Ministry of Land and Resources, the landslide occurred after a 20-storey-high mountain of dumped earth and construction waste collapsed. Source Wikipedia.
